St. Paul New Braunfels

Greetings faithful followers of Christ,
There are no words that can convey the devastation that happened on the Texas coast due to Hurricane Harvey. It was very humbling to see it firsthand just days after the impact. I have also been very impressed with the outpouring of resources from our congregation to help those in need. Your giving has been truly inspiring.
With that said there is so much more to do. So, we are looking at the possibility of doing Mini-Mission trips to the coast to help.
What does that mean?
1. Who -- Small teams: Sunday school classes. Small groups. A group of friends. An easily mobilized group to do very specific work.
2. What: Brush Removal, Repairs (sheetrock, carpentry, roofs), Tie-downs on house to prevent further damage.
3. Where: Austwell/Tivoli community.
4. How -- Short trips: Trips ranging from one long day to possibly two overnights. Our Saviour's Lutheran in Victoria is hosting groups that are coming in to work and can accommodate up to 30 people at the church.
5. When: Each team will need to determine their availability. I will help coordinate with OSLC the arrangements and the work.
If you are willing to organize a team and be the team leader, please contact me and we will get the ball rolling. Thanks for being willing to serve with your hands and your hearts.
