Breaking Bread:

"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship... They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God ... and the Lord added to their numbers daily those who were being saved." Acts 2:42, 46d-47. The early church of Acts had it right! Church is not simply a place you go on Sundays. It’s who you are. Part of being the church means building relationships with each other through fellowship, prayer, study, and hospitality. Therefore, you’re invited to be the church at our Breaking Bread Dinners.

Here’s how it works:

For approximately an hour and a half, we’ll do two of our favorite things--eating and talking--to get better acquainted. We pray you’ll take this opportunity to connect with your church family and build new, lasting relationships. Each group governs itself on meeting dates, host homes and menu. It’s all about fellowship!

Get better acquainted with your fellow treasures in earthly vessels by contacting Dotty Collins at 830-629-5129,  , or call the church office.

Foster Closet:

The New Braunfels Foster Closet is a nonprofit ministry that provides clothing in all sizes, shoes, strollers, car seats, pack-n-plays, cribs and various other baby equipment to New Braunfels area children placed into a foster home with little or no personal items, in many cases with only the clothes on their back. Foster parents can call and make an appointment to come by the store and select items they may need for their foster children. In emergency situations the foster family may call and arrange for a group of foster closet volunteers to deliver necessary items. They serve children from birth to 18 years of age. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Sue Schwab at
